Share:

Meet Ryan Weed, Tablespoon's brand-new Sales Development Representative. Ryan joined the team in February, and we are very excited to tell you more about him and why he joined Tablespoon.

Where are you from?

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and spent the first ten years of my life raised in Crested Butte, Colorado. Later, my family moved back to the Cleveland area, and I have lived here since 2001.

What's your background?

I have a diverse background. In the past, I have worked in sales roles for T Mobile and Powerhouse Gym. However, much of my career has been in the calibration industry. My work involved dealing with various industries, such as pharmaceutical research and development, manufacturing, and private aviation. The only industry I have not worked with is hospitality, which excites me the most about joining Tablespoon.

Tell me about your role.

My job as Tablespoon's Sales Development Representative will be to move potential customers from the beginning of the sales process to become qualified leads. I'll do this by delivering information about our products and services to them and then passing their information on to Alex, our Director of Sales. Alex will then work with the qualified leads to demonstrate how our products and services can meet their needs and eventually close the sale.

Why did you join Tablespoon?

I decided to join Tablespoon due to MJ Mahood's leadership and experience. She had previously mentored my brother-in-law, a Sales Development Representative in her previous company. Thanks to her guidance, he is now a Sales Executive. I was impressed with the testimonials I heard about her, which led me to this decision. Additionally, Tablespoon is a reputable company in the industry. They have had great success recently with Sage Intacct and are building their clientele base. The leadership team seems genuine, personable, and easy to work with. I am highly impressed with their experience and accolades. Overall, I am impressed with the direction the company is heading in.

What are you most excited to work with in the restaurant industry?

I'm excited to learn about the industry and how Sage Intacct impacts restaurants' finances. I want to understand where our product can be implemented and how it can help them the most. Learning the whole process of implementing Sage Intacct into the hospitality space fascinates me. Developing the correct sales process and understanding what restaurant owners and CFOs care about is crucial.

What's your favorite restaurant?

There is a restaurant in the area called Brown Barn Tavern, which has a very rustic feel. It reminds me of a ski lodge, and the food served there is incredible. The menu is a classic American-style pub with a nostalgic feel, similar to where I grew up in Colorado. The environment is very comfortable and relaxing, making it a great place to unwind.
