Meet Jordan Kilpatrick, Tablespoon’s Senior Accountant! Jordan recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with Tablespoon, and we’re excited to share more about her role, and what she loves most about being part of the Tablespoon team.

Where are you from?

I'm from a small town in Ohio called Warren! After seven years in Atlanta and two in Cleveland, I recently moved back home, so I'm readjusting to small-town life and enjoying the chance to spend more time with family.

Tell me about your role.

I'm a Senior Accountant, so I handle a lot of the client projects, GL review, Balance sheet management, and drive period-end closes. I like to think of myself in a support role. I support the client by delivering; I support the staff accountants by answering questions and jumping in where needed; and I support the managers by trying to hand over clean closes and answering their questions about our work.

What's your background, and why did you join Tablespoon?

I started in hospitality operations at a luxury hotel front desk! From there, I moved into Hospitality Finance/Accounting, which included everything from posting sales to processing payroll. It turned out I loved Accounting, so I worked with some incredible mentors, pursued post-grad education, and locked in on my new career. When I began talking to the team at Tablespoon, I knew I'd found an incredible place to keep learning and growing.

How has your restaurant experience helped your work with Tablespoon?

I work closely with the restaurant teams we support, which gives me a firsthand understanding of the pressure they face and how dynamic and fluid their business truly is.

What do you love most about your time at Tablespoon?

The people. I work with incredible teammates who are so supportive, knowledgeable, and always willing to teach (and laugh).

What's your favorite restaurant?

Right now it's Mad for Chicken. They're an incredible little Korean Fried Chicken restaurant nearby and their truffle fries are out of this world!
