Meet Michael Sudberry! He's Tablespoon's newest Senior Sage Intacct Consultant. We are excited to tell you more about him and how he's helping Tablespoon's clients.
I am from the Middle Tennessee area, where I've spent much of my life. My career has taken me through several different sides of the hospitality and accounting industries, ultimately leading me to Tablespoon.
As a Senior Sage Intacct Consultant, I work on implementations for Tablespoon's hospitality clients. With Tablespoon's focus on the restaurant and hospitality industry, the role lets me combine my consulting and accounting expertise with an industry I know well. I love hospitality clients just because they're usually pretty fun.
My career started in hospitality. I worked across every aspect of restaurants, as a server, bartender, caterer, and trainer before moving into accounting. I later worked in accounting roles in the hospitality and restaurant industries before moving into consulting.For the past six-plus years, I have worked as a consultant focused on Sage Intacct. My path to Tablespoon actually started several years ago when I met Andy at a conference. We connected over a shared love of music and guitars. I'm glad the timing finally worked out, and I get to work with the Tablespoon team.
My hospitality background gives me firsthand insight into the challenges restaurants face, and the metrics that matter most to them. Working in hospitality helped me become a stronger consultant by teaching me how to communicate with people from all walks of life. Knowing the struggles for some of these restaurants and which metrics will matter most to them is a major advantage.
That's a tough question! I worked in a BBQ restaurant for a while, and I never got tired of it, so I would have to pick Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q in Tennessee.
